Meet our Authors

We are delighted to have you visit "Prayer of Hannah" and hope that you will be one of our faithful readers. The authors, all teachers and seminary wives each have young children of nearly the same age. We hope to share our experiences and pass on information that has been helpful to each of us, and glorify our Lord at the same time. Please meet...

Krista, who lives with her husband and one-year old daughter overseas. She says being a wife and mommy is the most wonderful joy and blessing in her life and a gift from the Lord. She enjoys jogging, reading, cooking, and nutrition. She says, "Being a mother is the most awesome responsibility I’ve been given and I long to raise godly children that He will use to glorify His name among the nations."

Leah, a former Spanish teacher, lives with her husband Ed in Marin County, CA, just six miles north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Ed is in the PhD program at Golden Gate Seminary, and Leah stays home to care for the family. They have a son named Samuel and are expecting another baby in April. Leah came to know Christ as a teenager. She enjoys reading, sewing, cooking & blogging. She hopes to raise her children in the fear of the Lord, using both the discipline and compassion God has charged her with.

Margaret lives in rural Virgina where her husband Ben pastors a church. They have a daughter Meredith and are expecting a son in February. She enjoys quilting, exercising, and learning about natural health. She loves watching her children grow and seeks to raise them to love the Bible and live by His words.

Christina and her family live in Wake Forest, North Carolina. She is married to Jacob and the mother of one year old Will. They are also expecting another baby in March. Christina teaches Middle School Science. Jacob is studying at Southeastern Seminary and will be graduating in May '08! Christina enjoys reading, camping, going to the beach, and spending time with family. She is also really good at researching anything and everything that has to do with her children.

Hollie, who is also a former High School Spanish Teacher, is married to her best friend from college, Hugh Carson. She is the mother of nine and a half month old Elena Carson (Laney). She's a stay-at-home Mama and supports/encourages Hugh as he works hard to make ends meet, all the while going to Seminary to complete his Masters of Divinity at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. They are at the half-way mark in earning his 90 hour degree. They live in Youngsville, North Carolina, but are from and have family in Georgia. They have been married for 3.5 years. And you can't forget the sweetest 3.5 year old dog on face of this earth--Daisy Carson. Hollie says that Daisy prepared them for parenthood, but that Daisy's teething/chewing days were far worse than Laney's will ever be! Hollie's hobbies are exercising, sewing, writing, and blogging.

Our first official post will be coming early next week. We will be discussing our favorite products for newborns. We hope you join us!

We live at such a great time in our little blip on the screen of life. You 5 live in different areas, but because of the technology God has given us, you are able to come together and provide a great service to others. Looking forward to reading your blog.

So this is so fun for me! I am not a mom yet, but I work with birth to 3 year olds doing therapy and birth to 5 year olds at our church! Oh, and I didn't realize when Krista sent this to me that I would know someone else... Hey Christina it's Courtney Little. We should get together. We are living in WF, in Fletcher Village. How fun!
