The 1955 home as a haven....

The following article is Ed Payne's contribution to this week's topic. We tried to get the article directly on the blog - but could not get the entire image large enough to make the print legible. Therefore, you'll have to read the article here. Obviously, this is not a true biblical picture of a wife's role but if nothing else, it gave us a good laugh!

Good one, Ed :) How did you stumble across that? There are actually some really good tips there that are good reminders to me of practical, everyday ways to honor my husband. A lot of days I'm so exhausted by the time he gets home that its hard to not just throw the kids at him and crash on the couch myself :) Thanks for a good reminder :)

This excerpt has been on the fridge at my parent's lake house for the past 3 years, and I get a kick out of it everytime we stay there! Arnaud and I now have an inside joke, where I ask him every once in awhile if I can serve him a warm beverage :) LOL

There are certainly some good reminders there! But I giggle at the wording...and Chelsea - I can SO see you saying that to Arnaud. Hilarious! Hopefully you follow through on that offer every once in a while?! :)

Uhh............. wow. My jaw was dropping by the end of it. I left the link up for my husband to read when he gets home... maybe I'll light some candles, put a pillow in his chair, and have him some hot tea ready for his reading pleasure! :)
